Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is an important disease that is increasingly being recognized and diagnosed. An accurate diagnosis of EoE requires a high-quality endoscopic examination of the esophagus followed by a standardized biopsy protocol. Recognition of the subtle endoscopic findings can be challenging. The IWGCO has experience in the validation and education of endoscopic scoring systems.
The IWGCO is working with EoE experts and patient groups to bring forward educational programs for physicians to better understand and accurately diagnose EoE.
